Position Summary

As an office assistant with Peterson Wealth Services, you will coordinate and perform a range of staff and operational support activities. You will also serve as a liaison with other functional areas, external customers, and vendors to help resolve routine administrative and operational problems.  This position will be a part-time opportunity with the ability to move to a full-time team member depending on company need and professional growth of the individual hired.  Hourly compensation depends on experience.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Interact daily on the phone and in-person with prospective and existing clients, including handling basic inquiries, providing account related information, and scheduling appointments
  • Identify and resolves systemic operational issues and assist with special projects, as needed
  • Manage compliance files and submit advertising requests for the branch. Make edits to documents, as necessary
  • Ability to effectively communicate and describe the services the firm provides
  • Monitor and order all office supplies for the practice
  • Process and track check deposits for the organization
  • Assist with internal transfers and funds disbursements, including journals, ACH requests, wire requests, and check requests
  • Assist with new client account set up and existing client account maintenance
  • Capture and manage key contacts and prospective client data

Knowledge/Requirements

  • High School diploma and 3-5 years of prior industry experience in financial services; a bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred
  • Experience with capturing and managing personal information
  • MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power Point proficiency to produce presentations, correspondence, professional documents, electronic communication, and maintain spreadsheets
  • Knowledge of investment concepts, practices and procedures used in the securities industry
  • Background check required
